Impressive performance & feature-set from an...Strengths: Image quality is on par with more expensive (and larger) cameras. Vivid & beatiful LCD. Great value for its feature-set & capabilities. Weakness: None... (yet?). I was pretty impressed by the SD870IS that I bought for myself so I got the SD770IS for my wife as a gift. Although the SD770IS's lens isn't as wide as and doesn't have as high of a zoom as the SD870IS, it made up for it since it was more compact and sports a higher pixel count -- I can't forget to mention the lower price tag. Performance at this size deserves more credit and...Strengths: Smallest full-featured Canon Powershot in 2008 vintage; black color scheme looks better than depicted in photos; menus are very easy to navigate; some advanced settings Weakness: Flash is not sufficiently strong (uneven contrast in a well-lit 15x15 room) The 2008 vintage of Canon Powershot cameras is the must-have gold standard in digital point-and-shoots. The SD890 (highest MSRP) offers a 5x zoom, 2.5" LCD and curvy lines; the SD790 has the biggest LCD screen at 3.0", and the SD770 (lowest MSRP) is the smallest of the three. impressing camera with affordable priceStrengths: Very compact, good shape, 10MP and affordable price. Video recording is much better than my previous camera. Menu is very user friendly and very well put together Weakness: The quality of the pictures are not significant improved compare to my previous camera I have a Sony 330K camera for 5 years. This camera is much compact, good shape and has good quality of pictures and very good video quality as a digital camera. Like other digital cameras, the quality of pictures are OK but not very good. The menu is very friendly and the use is pretty simple. Overall, I recommend this camera.

The Best I've Ever OwnedStrengths: The best small compact camera I've ever had. Pic. are beautifully crisp and clear. Menu is very user friendly and very well put together. Have taken pics in all dif. settings with perfect results Weakness: As with all, after zooming in pics get very dark due to flash. I love taking Pic with this Camera. I really wanted the all silver, but after purchasing have grown to love the black inlay more. All the talk as far as the optical viewfinder being missing... Didn't even phase me since it's BEAUTIFUL Crisp 3.0" LCD screen. I would have liked some manual exposure controls, but over all EXCELLENT camera. Took it to a mets game as was very impressed with it's zoom...
