Awesome LensStrengths: the ability to use this lens for almost all uses from wide angle to close up makes this a great choice. heads always turn when they see the L series lenses. Weakness: a bit heavy, but the tripod ring fixes this if you have a tripod or monopod. the new lens Canon came out with is somewhat a best of both worlds. Wide angle at 28mm or close up with 300mm...you can't go wrong. Having image stabilization almost eliminates blurry shots. This is the lens that you will leave on your camera for every shooting opportunity. Well done Canon on another awesome lens! 89% of readers found this review helpful. A perfect general purpose lensStrengths: IS, 11x zoom, picture quality, L lens Weakness: Heavy, high price I just got the lens on April 24, 06. It is heavy. Especial when you attach it on 5D with 580EX. I can't hold them all with one hand over one minute. I must use two hand to control them. The IS function is amazing, it really works. 88% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM

Canon Zoom stabilizing lens 28-300/3.5-5.6 EF-L
Strengths: GREAT PICTURES!!! WONDERFUL!!!EXCELLENT!!!!
Weakness: HEAVY
This lens takes incredible pictures!! Very easy to use,but it is somewhat heavy and large. It is very fast for the quick pictures of nature and children. I have taken so many pictures of birds in flight with this lens. I love it! It will be my only lens from now on! Great ability to take near and far pics!
Thank you!
